What is coir?
Coir is a natural and eco-friendly product that is extracted from the fibrous outer husks of coconuts. In fact, this material has been in use for centuries to make products such as rope. Also known as coco, this tough material is ideal for use in doormats because of its ability to scrape away dirt, mud, rocks, and other debris from footwear. It has a rough texture and is perfect for outdoor use as it can resist both moisture and UV rays.
How long should I expect my doormat to last?
All of our products are designed to last for long periods of time. There is no reliable way to determine the exact lifespan of each individual doormat. It really depends on how much wear you put the mat through. Keep in mind that areas that see high volumes of foot traffic can wear down a mat faster compared to areas that do not have very high levels of foot traffic.
Which product lasts longer outdoor, coir or rubber doormats?
The simple answer is both. Coir is ideal for use in the outdoors because it is a naturally occurring material. The coconuts that coir fibers are extracted from originally grow exposed to outdoor elements such as rain and sunlight. The coir used to produce our doormats inherits this weather resistant quality. Coir is one of the best materials you can have for an outdoor doormat. Since we also use rubber in our doormats, we make sure to use the type of elastomers that can resist outdoor elements. We use reclaimed rubber material for our doormats. Reclaimed rubber is sourced from vehicle tires. The rubber in tires is designed for constant exposure to the elements. When these tires are shredded down and reprocessed into reclaimed rubber, they still carry over their UV, ozone, and moisture resistance to their new form. In this case, the reclaimed rubber is used to make doormats that can be placed in the outdoors.
Where would I use a carpet mat?
A carpet mat is best used indoors. Ideal locations for our carpet mats include indoor entryways and hallways in homes, offices, showrooms, restaurants, and more. The reason for this is due to the fact that the polypropylene fibers of the carpet surface are not designed for prolonged exposure to the elements.
Are you doormats eco-friendly?
Yes, we are proud to say that our doormats are eco-friendly products! The best aspect of our doormat inventory is that it allows us to maximize our use of environmentally conscious materials. Our doormats are made from eco-friendly materials such as coir and natural and reclaimed rubbers. Both coir and natural rubber are naturally occurring resources that are produced using sustainable methods. Reclaimed rubber is eco-friendly because it is made from old vehicle tires. These tires are reused to make new products instead of rotting in landfills, taking up space that could be used for biodegradable waste.
Where are they made?
Our doormats are made in southern India and Sri Lanka according to our specifications. The coir and natural rubber that we use are sourced from plantations that are dedicated to growing these materials. Take a look at the following videos to see how these materials are made:

Are any of your doormats handmade?
Some of our doormats are handmade products, while others are made with the assistance of machines. For example, our boot scraper mats are handmade. The stencil painted designs on our doormats are also done by hand. If a doormat has rubber in its composition, it is made with the help of machines that can perform the rubber molding process.
Can I get a discount for buying multiple units?
Most definitely! We encourage you to mix and match styles when shopping for your doormats. You can still get the benefit of a volume discount for the different styles of mats you choose. For example, if you manage an apartment complex that requires large quantities of doormats, then you may want rubber doormats for one set of units and coir doormats for the other set. The volume discounts would apply for the total amount of doormats in the order.
Can I buy wholesale?
Yes, we have wholesale pricing options available. We know that there are many other businesses out there that need doormats as part of their product line. We make our high quality products available to commercial outlets such as retail stores, online storefronts, real estate firms, design firms, and more. We encourage you to contact our Business Development Team for more detailed information regarding our wholesale rates.
Can I order my own designs?
Unfortunately, we do not provide any custom design services. However, the designs we choose for our doormats reflect a wide variety of different tastes. The market is diverse and we like to have as many aesthetic preferences reflected in our inventory as possible. We are also constantly adding to our product line because design trends change over time. This is why we encourage you to keep checking back with us to see if any new doormats suit your preference.

Do your rubber products smell?
Yes, our rubber products do smell! They are made out of rubber, so not surprisingly, they have the natural odor that is inherent with rubber goods. Our products do lose their smell over time and their scent is likely to dissipate when placed in the open outdoors. Our coir mats do not emit any scent. If you have a sensitive nose or just simply do not like the smell of rubber, reach out to one of our staff members. One of our product experts will help direct you towards a more sufficient item that might be better for you.
